Format

• Single Elimination Match Play, 18 holes or as many holes needed to determine the winner of the match
• 100% Course Handicap as of Match date, each Match will stroke off of the low handicap player, all Match scorecards must be turned in for score posting
• Maximum field size 256 players
• Deadline to sign up will be June 24th at 5:00 pm

Put Your Game To The Ultimate Test!

This Individual Stroke Play Tournament will showcase some of the year’s best competitive rounds.  The Ocean Course and Lagoon Course will demand your attention on every shot as players navigate through 36 holes of tournament golf.

Format

• 36-Holes of Individual Stroke Play, Low Net within your own Flight (6 Flights), the player with the overall 36-hole Lowest Net Total will be crowned the President’s Cup Champion
• In the event of a tie for overall Low Net, a net sudden-death playoff will determine the President’s Cup Champion
• All Putts must be holed out, no maximum score
• 95% Handicap Index Allowance and Cap Patrol index adjustments as of September 4^th update
• Deadline to sign up will be September 4^th at 5:00 pm
• Maximum field size will be 120 players

Tee Times & Pairings

• Round 1 tee times will begin at 7:30 am, randomly assigned

• Round 2 tee times will begin at 7:30 am based on round 1 Flight standings, leaders off last
• Round 2 pairings based on round 1 Flight standings, leaders off last

• The time par for this event will be 4 hours and 10 minutes
• Groups must maintain their position relative to the group ahead
• Each player is responsible for their own pace of play, ready golf is encouraged
• Any group receiving more than 2 warnings may be subject to penalty strokes

Senior Two-Man Best Ball

New to the PVMGA schedule, the Senior Two-Man Tournament will be a competitive Two-Man Team Event with teams comprising of two PVMGA members age 65 and up.  This event will be a great test of teamwork, shot making and risk-taking!  Prepare yourselves for a fun and intensely competitive round on the Ocean Course.

 

Format

• 18 Holes net Better Ball of Partners
• The lowest net score on each hole is the team score
• Net triple-bogey maximum score per hole
• All putts must be holed out
• 80% Course Handicap as of September 10^th update
• Maximum field size 40 Teams (80 players)
• Deadline to sign up will be Monday, September 9^th at 5:00pm

Tee Times

• 9:00am Shotgun start on the Ocean Course
• Foursomes will be random for this event, each Two-man team randomly paired

Eligibility

• PVMGA Members in good standing
• Registration is available to members ages 65 and older
• Players are to register as a team, individuals will be paired together as needed

Course & Tees

• Ocean Course, Green Tee markers
• Players over the age of 80 are able to play the Red tee markers if they choose, and must notify the golf shop for proper handicapping

Pace of Play Policy

• The time par for this event will be 4 hours and 15 minutes
• Ready Golf is encouraged
• Groups must maintain their position relative to time par or the group ahead
• Each player is responsible for their own pace of play
• Based on the format, players out of the hole may pick up
• Any group receiving more than 2 warnings may be subject to penalty strokes

• Teams will compete within their own Flight
• Flights will be based on combined handicap index, there will be an 8 stroke maximum differential between partners with the higher handicap player being reduced

Dear PVMGA Members,

This December, the Ponte Vedra Men’s Golf Association has the pleasure of sponsoring our Christmas Fund Golf Tournament.  The Christmas Fund Tournament has traditionally been the largest single event for our Members.  We encourage everyone to play in the tournament and share in the Holiday cheer (Bonus points for Santa Hat’s!). As a participant, the tournament entry fee will be charged to your member account and donated to the Christmas Fund to be distributed among the staff that has contributed to providing a positive experience to the PVMGA this past year. This is sure to be a lot of fun and a great way for the Membership to say “Thank You” to the staff that make our golfing experience world class year-round.

While we know that not all Members will be able to join us for golf that day, we appreciate those Members making a generous donation to the Christmas Fund via the Donation Cards found in the Golf Pro Shop and at the bottom of this announcement.

If you are not playing in the event and wish to make a contribution, please complete and submit the enclosed donation card.  Please note, Membership Charge only; unfortunately, we will not be accepting checks or cash.

Your prompt response, along with your contribution is greatly appreciated so that we can distribute these funds to the staff as early as possible this Holiday Season. 

Even if you cannot join your fellow Members for the golf, we encourage you to join us prior to our tee time for fellowship and the opportunity to thank the staff in person.

Format & Scoring

• 18-Holes Four-Man Team Net Best Ball: 1BB on Par 3s & 5s, 2BB on Par 4s
• Handicap Index as of December 12^th update, 85% Handicap Index Allowance
• Low Net Teams from each course will be awarded
• Maximum field size 50 Teams (200 players)
• Deadline to sign up will be December 11^th at 5:00 pm

Eligibility & Entry Fee

• PVMGA Members in good standing with an up-to-date USGA Handicap, Entry fee $150.00
• Non-PVMGA Members with an up-to-date USGA Handicap, Entry fee $200.00
• Standard golf fees will apply

 

Tee Times & Pairings

• 8:30am shotgun start on each course
• Make your own Team

 

Course & Tees

• Ocean Course & Lagoon Course (will be assigned)
• White tee markers, Green or Red tee markers are optional (please notify)

 

Pace of Play Policy

• Time par for this event will be 4 hours
• Groups must maintain their position relative to the group ahead
• Each player is responsible for their own pace of play, ready golf is encouraged
• Based on the format, please pick up if you are out of the hole
• Any group receiving more than 2 warnings may be subject to penalty strokes

• Players may sign up as a team or individually on PVMGA.golfgenius.com under "Event Registration" / "Event Sign-up" or on the Golf Genius App or in person in the Golf Pro Shop.  If you are using the Golf Genius app on your phone, you must first select "Member Portal"
• If you are signing up as a team you must select "Register Another Golfer" to add your playing partners 
• Deadline to sign up will be December 11^th at 5:00 pm

The Individual Match Play Tournament is a great event to showcase skill, strategy and composure as players navigate through the emotional roller coaster of golf.

  

Format

• Single Elimination Match Play, 18 holes or as many holes needed to determine the winner of the match
• 100% Course Handicap as of Match date, each Match will stroke off of the low handicap player, all Match scorecards must be turned in for score posting
• Maximum field size 128 players
• Deadline to sign up will be June 26^th at 5:00 pm
• Random seeding for this event

• PVMGA Members in good standing with an up-to-date USGA Handicap, Entry fee $0.00
• Non-PVMGA Members with an up-to-date USGA Handicap, Entry fee $50.00

• Team Handicaps calculated to 50% of the Team Difference, each match will stroke off the Low Handicap Team, Handicap Index as of Match Date will be used
• Maximum field size 128 Teams
• Deadline to sign up will be December 29th at 5:00pm

Format

• Two-Man Team Alternate Shot (alternating drives: odd holes & even holes), 8 Pools of 4 Teams, Round Robin within your Pool (3 matches), winners of each pool move into bracket match play
• Team Handicaps calculated to 50% of the Team Difference, each match will stroke off the Low Handicap Team, Handicap Index as of Match Date will be used
• Pool Play tiebreak as follows: 1. Head-to-Head 2. Total Match Differential 3. Chip off
• Maximum field size 32 Teams, 8 Pools of 4 Teams
• Deadline to sign up will be December 29^th at 5:00pm
