COURTESY & ETIQUETTE
Golf is a more pleasurable experience and the course remains in better shape when a few simple rules of etiquette and courtesy are followed. As a reminder to all members, here are a few of the do's and don'ts.
In the interest of all, players should play without delay, An open hole ahead of any group of players forfeits their right to position on the course. Upon such occurrence, said group should beckon the following group through and/or stand aside promptly upon request to "play through"
Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind to play through as soon as it becomes apparent that the ball will not easily be found. When play is completed on a hole, the players should immediately leave the putting green and proceed to the next tee. Always park golf carts to the side of rear of greens. Never park in front of greens thus impeding approaching players.
Repair ball marks on the green (even if they're not yours)
fill all divots (including those in the rough) with sand provided in buckets on the golf carts
Rake all bunkers. Leave rake in bunker
When using golf carts, use paths, avoid newly seeded or repaired areas, drive around wet spots and keep the vehicle well away from all greens and teeing areas.
Don't hit more than one ball.
Ponte Vedra has an excellent reputation for maintaining starting time schedules. Your cooperation is required to help keep it this way. Help the starter and yourself by being ready to tee-off promptly at least ten minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.
